Watch – Calling All Fathers

June 18, 2016

“Here’s my new song and video ‘Calling All Fathers.’ Read on to know the story behind why I wrote it.

I want to be the strong leader and father I’m called to be but the truth is, I don’t always love or lead my family the way I’m called to. Rather then pressing on, sometimes I give up when I fall down. I’m so driven by fear to succeed; I ignore what’s really important.

I lead by seeking God’s face, walking in humility, and serving. By truly knowing the heart of each of my family members. These are things I know, but many times I am disinterested, or would rather choose my own self interest.

I serve the God of 2nd chances (even 3rd & 4th…) and every time I’ve told my girls I’m sorry, and that I was wrong they have always forgiven me. It’s never too late for us to get back up and love our children well. I wrote this song to to remind and challenge me and every father to be the men God made us to be. ‪” -Todd Smith

Say Ooooo Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo
Tried to temp me again last night
Say Ooooo Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo
This time, I told the devil, I said

Chorus:
We are never ever ever getting back together
We-e are never ever ever getting back together
See you got your demons, you plotting, you scheming
You ain’t bothering me
We are never ever ever getting back together

Rap:
Everybody got a past if youre living and breathing
His grace made you Holy and you started a heathen
It’s an uphill climb but we in it to win it
More than conquerors and we led by the spirit
Got your Bible keep it close, Father Son Holy Ghost

They don’t know you the way I do
I once was lost but have been found by you
Your unfailing love has captured me

And I am in such awe in your eyes I am special
Though I may stumble and fall
Your blood paid for it all

So I pray daily and give my life to you
Nothing thing in this world I would rather do
Than seek you with all of my heart so true
You are my Lord I will follow you

Your blood paid for it all

So I pray daily and give my life to you
Nothing thing in this world I would rather do
